Catherine Shaw

At the heart of SNAP is our visionary founder, Catherine Shaw. Catherine is a renowned bone health advocate with a passion for empowering people to lead healthier lives. Her personal journey with osteoporosis and determination to overcome its challenges inspired the inception of SNAP.

Catherine's expertise and commitment drive our mission to provide a user-friendly platform that will help individuals across all age groups discover the wonders of strong bones. With a background in health sciences and a deep understanding of bone health research, Catherine is leading the charge to create an app that will revolutionize the way we approach bone health.

Meet
Abbas Ismail

Dr Ismail qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1989. He trained in rheumatology and general medicine in London. He has been a consultant rheumatologist at Stockport NHS Trust since 2000. A general rheumatologist with considerable experience treating rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Lupas, fibromyalgia, and gout. He is also having a specialist interest in osteoporosis and Paget's disease of the bone and has published many research studies in his field. He is the Director of the Osteoporosis and Metabolic Service in Stockport, Cheshire. Passionate about helping patients manage their osteoporosis and bone fragility he is delighted to be part of the SNAP team and we are over the moon he is on this journey with us.

Matthew Irwin

Meet Matthew, the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) behind our groundbreaking community app dedicated to empowering osteoporosis sufferers. With a deep passion for merging technology and healthcare, Matthew has driven our app's development from inception to reality.

Matthew is a seasoned innovator, having worked in IT for nearly 30 years. Matthew is dedicated to leveraging technology for the betterment of healthcare, making SNAP a beacon of hope for those with osteoporosis, whilst bringing a wealth of technical expertise to the table.
